Vision / Mission

To every Filipino in any walk of life, the seed and richness of EDSA will flourish and be enjoyed by all in generations to come, rooted in the greatness cultivated by our forebears. By:

  1. Honoring its memory.
  2. Learning and spreading its lesson.
  3. Pursuing breakthroughs for change.
  4. Inspiring and deepening commitment.
  5. Actively living the values of EDSA.

Core Values:

  1. Faith in God
  2. Love for Country
  3. Selflessness
  4. Unity
  5. Belief in a Peaceful Process of Change
  6. Self-Discipline

Objectives

  1. To perpetuate and enhance the 1986 "Spirit of EDSA" and establish vehicles by which the People Power Revolution of 1986 can be enshrined, such as a landmark and a yearly Spirit of EDSA Awards through the Spirit of EDSA Foundation.
  2. To serve as the lead organization to handle future EDSA Anniversaries in cooperation with designated NGOs, in the spirit of people-empowerment.
  3. To offer its service to the President as an NGO consultative group on the perpetuation in the Philippine society of the values manifested during the 1986 EDSA People-Power Revolution.

Principles

  1. We believe that the Philippines is a truly gifted county, and enriched with a people endowed with a genuine faith in God and blessed with an abundant wealth of human and natural resources.
  2. We believe in the goodness of the Filipino and its indomitable spirit to rise above every crisis, either man-made resources.
  3. We believe in the Philippine's future role in shaping major global events and in eventual transformation of our county into a new economic and religious power base.
  4. We believe that the State exists for the citizen and not the citizen for the State, and the primary reason for the state to exist is to equitably provide the options for the fullness of the citizens' development.
  5. We believe in a genuinely participatory Democracy which ensures and guarantees all citizens a fair opportunity in the use and access to the Nation's resources, to achieve a just distribution of wealth.
  6. We believe that only through untied, militant but non-violent actions of an organized and committed citizenry of People Power, can the people progressively achieve their just and legitimate hopes and aspirations.
  7. We believe that what we sow, we shall reap, and that the seeds that have been planted in EDSA 1986 have to be nurtured and sustained in order for the Filipino's dreams to come to full fruition.
  8. We believe that our nation had been led to the Promise Land of Democracy out of the tyranny of the Dictatorship, but have severely undergone a cleansing process, by way of natural and man-made calamities, primarily because we have, as His chosen people, failed to reform our ways.
  9. We believe that Our Lord Almighty had shown us the way, and all that is necessary now is keep the Spirit of EDSA flame lighted in our hearts, and aim to proceed in accordance to His Divine Will.
  10. We wholeheartedly believe that God is our ally and we as God's people will continue to succeed in our march for good governance beyond His calling at EDSA, should we as a people become one again, as in EDSA 1986.
